Cornwall is an ideal holiday destination throughout the year - warm sunny beaches in the summer months and wild rugged moors in the winter months. Almost an island, Cornwall is separated from the rest of England by the river Tamar and is bounded on 3 sides by the sea. It is a county steeped in legend and the locals will tell you that Tintagel is the home of King Arthur's Camelot.
Wreckers and smugglers frequented the coastal villages and there are many monuments to them. The coastal scenery is perhaps Cornwall's biggest jewel with its rugged cliffs and dramatic coastline. The Cornish Coastal Path runs all the way round the coast from Bude in the north to Plymouth in the south and is a popular attraction for the keen walker . The bleak beauty of Bodmin Moor in the centre of the county is also another must for the visitor and it contrasts with the much softer scenery of the evergreen Tamar Valley in the east of the County.
